SEPAC Business Meetings
Our first virtual business meeting of the year will be held, Thursday, September 4th at 7pm. All families of SPS' students and interested community members are invited to participate. FSCN Monthly Workshop Series - Basic Rights, Understanding the IEP, How to Advocate for your Child, and more!
Our District/SEPAC is proud to be part of the MassPAC network at the Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN). This means families and educators have access to a monthly series of virtual workshops on special education rights and other important topics. Basic Rights workshops will be offered weekly throughout the year—you can sign up for as many as you’d like! Families and educators are welcome to register at FCSN Events Calendar. A confirmation email will be sent with the Zoom link to participate.
SAVE THE DATE for a Parent/Guardian Evening of Learning with Elise Wulff from MGH’s ASPIRE Program.
A presentation by Elise Wulff for families regarding IEP transitions, how to talk with your student so they have ownership of their IEP, and build self-advocacy will be held. Elise is AMAZING, and she has an inspiring message to support student ownership of an IEP. November 6 at 7:00pm (Virtual). More details to come!

ADHD/Executive Functioning Connections
This group is geared toward caregivers who have a child diagnosed with ADHD or have questions regarding their child’s attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, executive functioning, or working memory. This group is geared toward caregivers who have a child with a complex learning profile. This can include children who are diagnosed with a rare syndrome or neurological impairment, sensory disability (vision, hearing, deaf-blind), developmental delay, intellectual disability, sensory processing or language disorder, health condition (epilepsy, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, etc.) Hosted By: Amy Ackerson
Literacy Challenges Connections
This group is geared toward caregivers who have a child diagnosed with or have questions regarding their child’s literacy. This can include a language-based learning difference, auditory processing disorder (APD), dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, apraxia, aphasia, dysarthria, general education reading support, or other literacy and language challenges. This group is geared toward caregivers who have a child aged 2.9 - 6 years old enrolled in preschool. Your child may have a diagnosis, have received early intervention services, or currently having challenges. Social Emotional Challenges Connections
This group is geared toward caregivers who have a child diagnosed with or have questions regarding their child’s social-emotional growth.
